Whose death do you think was the most unfair?

I feel the most sorry for Nikolai. He fought so bravely against the demons, but he died only because the griffin's heart didn't work (and why, who knows?). And Tieru seemed to know about it. Besides, not only was he killed, but they could have just killed him and forgotten about it, but instead, Markal turned him into a Necromancer (Nikolai didn't like that) and forcibly made him a dark warrior.
