And what tournaments do you participate in? Are they only filled with rich people? In fact, the best players in the world live in the post-Soviet space. ICQ is registered, but it's convenient to use QIP; it doesn't run for three days straight. And I've played with many rich people, and almost all of them use ICQ (so you're talking a lot of nonsense). You're just annoyed because you were stuck with a terrible client, while others are fine with it, and more people communicate through ICQ. Isn't it simply clear that now 90% of people have ICQ, so it's set as the default communication tool. ICQ is, in fact, the "historically established communication client," even if it's only in the post-Soviet space. And at the international level, it's a different story.
