What problems are there with installing both ICQ and Skype? They don't interfere with each other. I have both installed.

Skype has a stronger impact on internet connection. People with weak internet, including me, feel this.

After Microsoft buys Skype, I doubt it has a future:rolleyes:

It's easier for one person to install ICQ than for everyone to install Skype.

Tell that to Omar Hamoui, who sold it for $750 million :) he was also considered a "little Microsoft" when he left Google, but in the end, they bought AdMob from him. In general, Skype is not meant in a direct sense, but rather the possibilities of Skype plus some new features. Perhaps this will be their competitor.
