It's just quite stupid, as I understand it. Dealing damage to everyone except demons... nonsense...

I already wrote in this thread why it's not nonsense. The spell is used by demons; they are the ones who trigger Armageddon. And they have also acquired immunity to this magic. The nature of the phenomenon is different than with other fire magic spells. Use your imagination, everyone. After all, demons are a symbol of destruction, so why should their own weapon of mass destruction affect them? That would be truly illogical. But as it is, everything is fine: they came up with it, they use it, and they don't harm themselves.
