I disagree. The models are terrible in both games, but Warcraft is more enjoyable, including its locations. In Warcraft 3, zoom in with its limited camera, and you'll be horrified by how shapeless things take on nightmarish, wooden forms.
The Lich, frankly, the WoW Lich makes me laugh. Why do they need those hypertrophied hands?
Night Elf females - they've become more like men. They only look better than representatives of races that are deliberately "an acquired taste" (orcs, gnomes, dwarves, tauren).
Infernals - a small, ridiculous head (in response to the half-mad "face" from Warcraft 3) and completely ridiculous, hypertrophied limbs.
Humans - they're all brutish. It's a bit annoying when you want to create a weak mage (like Antonidas), but you end up with something that's old but buff (in the style of, for example, Tekken).
Tauren - their faces have gotten worse.
Orcs - they're worse than what we've seen in other Warcraft games. Maybe the old, good horned helmet would improve things to some extent, but still, their faces... they're not as expressive. At least there are no more wolf riders in armor.
And I won't even talk about succubi.
