There is such an argument in a dispute - reductio ad absurdum. It occurs in two versions:
a) Reductio ad absurdum, which should emphasize the essence of the problem, because the opponent may not see it (the problem).
b) Reductio ad absurdum due to an overly emotional reaction to what is happening and/or as a form of mockery (that inexpressive quote).
Our logic teacher called point "b" a "feminine argument," referring to the fact that women often resort to it.
I suggested that Arandor, as a person who studied at an institute (at that time I forgot that he was a distance learning student), might have concluded from his educational process that "reductio ad absurdum is a feminine argument."
I pointed out that points "a" and "b" differ from each other, and therefore, Ar was mistaken when he said:
