Our logic professor, called the reduction to absurdity a "women's arguments". Probably, Ara had something similar, that's where he derived this. Ara doesn't realize that it referred to an absurdity built on emotions ("Couldn't you be a bit nicer to my friend?" - "Maybe I should sleep with him too?"), and not the kind that simply highlights the essence of the problem, as in Lizard's case.
Firstly, the spelling is killing me, especially the failure to maintain subordinate connection in phrases. Is this some kind of quasi-psychological contextual trolling? If so, then Siv contradicts himself here in his attempt to seriously define the problem. The essence of the problem is also unclear. There are only words like "something similar" and "this," and even between them, the semantic link is blurred; it's unclear whether it refers to a consequence or to the same phenomenon. The quote is expressionless and looks like context ripped out, which overall adds further blurriness to the perception. so I still haven't understood what Siv wanted to say...
