Let me put it this way, so as not to confuse things. Let's go through it step by step.
1. There are historical reenactors of later periods. They are all about shooting and historical accuracy, with amazing costumes and everything. The battles follow a clear script.
2. There are historical reenactors of the Middle Ages, all very pompous and courtly, showing off their expensive armor and realistic costumes to role-players, and they are very careful about every scratch on their armor. Otherwise, they are similar to the first group. Both groups are not very different from role-players.
3. And then there are the uncouth ones, who are only partially concerned with historical accuracy, meaning that their costumes, armor, weapons, and everyday life, like dishes, correspond to the chosen era, but in battle reenactments, they beat each other up in chaotic melees, and it's unclear who will win. I remember a show about the Battle of Kulikovo a few years ago, where they mentioned the reenactment, and there was a funny moment where the narrator said something like, "And the Russian army clashed with the Mongol army!" - and in the background, there were shots from the reenactment of the Battle of Kulikovo, where European knights were joining the ranks of the Teutons :)

So, the first knight who charged into the Teutons in the aforementioned video is a lieutenant from my order. It's true that I quit 3 years ago (I broke my back, which is ironic, in the gym, not in battle), and the order fell apart. But you can't lose your skills, and I still get invited to role-playing events from time to time, where I don't have to wear armor, which is easier on my back.
