ГО on rough terrain broke through to 121 but there was little use from it, only snagged the Water Book and hit endless sand without pathfinding. Meanwhile, sultans were blocking the road whom I couldn't possibly kill even if I wanted to :(
then time pressure hit and the game went to hell)) spent the entire second week rolling cotton and building the Mage Guild while the opponent feasted on neutrals in the center
the only things that could have saved me were speed artifacts and Armageddon with a charged Luna — by the end she had 39 spell power with Expert Sorcery and orbs :) but I couldn't find either of those
Vitalic got caught out during the opening with 10 archers but the fae's speed wasn't enough and Brissa ran. Next turn the plan was to sweep through a neutral respawn and Town Portal home for mana and power, but I fell for a few stat boosters and the Earth Sphere (implosion would have cost over 5k already .. )
postmortem showed the Fire Book was on the last neutral respawn and +2 speed was lying right under my nose in a tiny unexplored tile) so I guess greed got the better of me. Though it's hard to predict how the mage duel with 40 spell power and a huge mana pool would have ended if I had first turn :)
