I finished Alpha Protocol. Aside from the constant crashes, I really enjoyed it. In terms of "variability," it's at least as good as Dragon Age and Mass Effect. The conversation between the protagonist and Leyland about the events that transpired is very similar to the conversation between Varric and Cassandra in Dragon Age 2. And considering that Alpha Protocol was released earlier...
Many of the characters were likable, especially Omen Deng, as well as Albatross and Mina Tang.
