The map editor does not open a previously created map.

I have the exact same problem. If you double-click the file, this window pops up. I open the file after launching the editor, using file-open-select the desired file. That's how it works. I also have Windows 7. Open the editor first, and then open the desired file through it – that's the easiest way.
