What would you change in Heroes of Might and Magic IV?

How is it even possible to attack simultaneously? Do they (monsters) fight on command? Like, they approach each other and say, "On the count of three, we hit each other in the face." I think it's absurd.

And how is it possible to attack non-simultaneously? So, a dozen Phoenixes stand there, waiting for the gnomes to attack them, and only then do they retaliate? :) Absurd, isn't it? We stand around on the battlefield, watching as a crowd runs up to us, attacks, and only then do we decide to fight back – we play the most fair game, until we are provoked, we won't attack. :)
