I'm not talking about thinness, but about how visually unappealing it is. Ugly, plastic-looking "lol three-dimensional models," multicolored squares, basically a mess.

The first one is better than the second, that's all. You won't realize it until you play it. And it's not about "indulging in pseudo-old-school nostalgia," it just is.
