I only played G2 once, then another half (I deleted the saves permanently), then I barely made it through with a boring unofficial add-on.
Right now, I'm also starting with an unofficial add-on, but the point is different. It doesn't add any plot, characters, etc. This mod is for those who have played G2 a hundred times. What does it do? It simply shuffles the world, changes the locations of creatures, items, etc. Because when you play for the fourth time, you already know that there's a pack of wolves over there, so it's better not to go there, because there's a Mraukoris there, in that cave there's a crowd of black goblins led by a goblin warrior, near that circle of stones there's a bow with 200 damage, a scroll, and a crown plant, etc.
It also fixes some bugs, slightly balances things, and adds some stuff that was completely unnecessary to add. This is an expansion of crafting; now you can make 100,500 types of weapons, you can upgrade them, and the hero is taught to create bows, crossbows, arrows, and bolts for them, etc
