It's been a long time since I wrote here. My last post was back in July. Since then, I've listened to very little new music, which saddens me. In general, I listen to music slowly, and I also downloaded a ton of music that I didn't like.
Below is a list of albums listened to over nearly a year that I liked the most. I'll try to list them in chronological order, although my memory is failing me now)
I've underlined the songs I loved most on each album. The absolute favorites are in bold)

Genres: metalcore, alternative metal, nu-metal.

Finished listening to the album "Книга Мертвых" (Book of the Dead).

I like it. It's lighter than the previous album (Неизбежность). Actually, there's not much more to say, nor is it necessary. I wrote about the band in my previous post.

Eluveitie

Genres: folk metal, melodic death metal.
Country: Switzerland

2010 Everything Remains (As It Never Was)

Good album, although there were better ones. My favorite album by the band is Spirit, their very first one. But this one is better than Slania imho.

At The Lake

Genres: symphonic folk/gothic metal.
Country: Poland

Very pleasant music. The band is not known worldwide and has no studio albums yet, but they have a chance to become famous. True, the vocalist has a very strong accent; at first, I didn't even realize she was singing in English until I found the lyrics via search engine. But she sings beautifully)

Next comes a lot of power metal. That was my mood for the entire second half and a couple of months.

Ария

Genres: heavy/power metal
Country: Russia

I don't really like the lyrics, except for the songs "Обман" and "Отшельник". My favorite songs on the album.
The sound is good, but I don't particularly like the phonetics of the Russian language in music, which is why I rarely listen to Ария or Эпидемия.
Actually, I decided to sample Ария after hearing Отшельник; otherwise, I haven't listened to the band. And I don't really want to)

Эпидемия

Genre: power metal
Country: Russia

A metal opera with a fantasy theme. I won't recount the plot here, as there's no point) Great music, overall better than the Ария album.
The song "На Пороге Ада" always cheers me up and gives me hope. "Кровь Эльфов" is the longest and my favorite. I really like the solo, and the piano intro is great.
Overall, a pass. I recently downloaded the band's discography, but I don't want to listen to it yet; it will stay in waiting)

Alestorm

Genres: power metal, folk metal
Country: Scotland

Metal about pirates)
Not one of the best power metal bands, there are better ones. Not much folk. But it's okay to listen to depending on your mood. I also like the pirate theme)
I like the album cover.

Dark Moor

Genre: sympho-power metal
Country: Spain

Excellent album, I enjoyed it. Need to listen more. Good solos. True, the vocals could have been better, though they're still decent. Good interludes. Recommended.

And in the summer, I finally decided to give Rhapsody a proper listen.

Rhapsody

Genres: sympho-power metal, neoclassic metal, occasionally folk metal
Country: Italy

All of this band's albums are conceptual, also fantasy)
I didn't like the first albums much. They were kind of dull. Although the vocals are excellent.
I liked the single version of "Land of Immortals" more.
I also listened to the 1994 demos "Land Of Immortals" and 1995 "Eternal Glory", but it's just a nightmare, likely even because of the recording quality)
They had a different vocalist who can't sing, and the songs are very unfinished. But for demos, that's forgiven)

Now this album is much better. No, it's simply magnificent!)
There's a lot of pathos, true, but that's normal for Rhapsody)
The instrumental "Trolls in the Dark" is one of my favorite songs overall. The motif is very cheerful and folky.
It would be great if these guys recorded a small folk-metal album with more folk elements
The guitar solos are pleasing. The guitarist is great, one of the strongest guitarists of today's day

The last song is 19 minutes long. Almost a record in my audio library) And it has a good start; they play very pleasantly on acoustic guitar.

Also in the summer, I listened to a band that is quite unconventional for me, or rather one of its albums.

I liked some things here and there. More for the lyrics than the music. For me, variety is a good thing)
It's very aggressive rap.

Ensiferum

Genres: folk metal, viking metal, melodic death metal, power metal
Country: Finland

Great band. I really liked the album. I often growl along to songs from here) Because it's fun.
The discography is downloaded, but I don't feel like listening yet.

Graveworm

Genre: on these albums, symphonic black metal with a gothic lean. On later albums, they have symphonic melodic black metal.

Early albums are not at all like the later ones, starting from 2003, where I liked a lot. Here it's somehow too dull. I didn't like the album "As The Angels Reach The Beauty" at all, bleeegh. Only two songs in "Scource Of Malice" are any good.

Vampiria

Genres: gothic / melodic black metal
Country: Argentina

Good music. True, few songs that I liked, but those I did like are very good. Recommended.
And also, imho, the album intro here is the best among all intros I've ever heard.
