Angels and paladins – how to use them? There are also discussions about them here.
They are "short-ranged" when there are few of them. I gather 90 to 200 of them and crush everyone I can. Of course, monks and paladins also really help.
Really? Play the "Deadly Rivalry" map; the yellow player has an army in their Castle: 110 Royal Griffins, 500 Armored Archers, 30 Inquisitors, 25 Paladins, and 11 Archangels. I had 300 Skeleton Archers, 158 Rotting Zombies, 83 Specters, 94 Greater Vampires, 28 Archliches, 19 Banshees, and 3 Ghost Dragons + Kaspar, level 5, with Stone Skin, Weakness, and Raise Dead spells. While the dragons stood in the gates and distracted the paladins (they held out for five turns :D), the vampires and zombies "chopped" (there's no other word for it) the Archangels. The skeletons were cannon fodder for the Inquisitors and Griffins, and the Specters for the Archangels and Paladins; the Archliches attacked the Inquisitors, and I kept the Banshees in reserve (that is, I didn't attack, I only used the Banshee's scream). As a result, the Archangels died first, followed by the Griffins (they were defeated by the zombies and the remaining 42 skeletons), then the Paladins, and then the Inquisitors. After that, I had only 72 vampires left against 437 Armored Archers. I actually lost, but after my raid, an ally arrived with a devastating army and destroyed the city (garrison of 358 Armored Archers), the blue hero, and his Castle.
