What kind of person do you have to be to spend so much time leveling up to level 10? Although, if the server has a x1 rate, then yes, it will take a very long time. Otherwise, it's easy to play at the beginning. As for killing players at the beginning of the game, this doesn't always happen. Maybe the server is bad or something? Although, killing noobs is fun, but hunting down a PK squad made up of noobs is also fun. The most interesting part starts closer to level 20, when parties are formed to take on small bosses. New acquaintances, teamwork, communication, adventures – all of this is very enjoyable. Over time, it starts to get boring because you just run around and level up, without any goal or plot (don't call capturing a castle/dominating everyone/reaching max level a goal, and the "plots" in these games are weak). And you start to miss (at least I do) what's in regular games.
Conclusion: you can play an online game with friends, and it will be enjoyable. But not for long.
