Here is something else that came to mind. Heroes 3 SoD is a social game, whereas "grindy" games like StarCraft, WarCraft, or Counter-Strike are antisocial. Specifically, you can be a good player in Heroes and still have a successful job, a personal life, and sometimes even a family). Meanwhile, top-tier WarCrafters and StarCrafters, who memorize build orders for 8 hours a day, will most likely be deprived of these things.
lol. Top-tier StarCrafters earn an order of magnitude more than the average Heroes player. A Heroes player works 8 hours a day, and a StarCrafter spends just as much time grinding tactics; that's basically their job.
