Morality is only absent in neutral creatures, but heroes do have it.
I used to think it was bad that any faction could take the maximum number of Gnomes on day 111 because you could breed them and they wouldn't be able to do anything. But then I realized that there's nothing wrong with that. The opponent also has the same opportunity. It's much worse when one player uses a spell and succeeds, while the other uses the same spell and fails.
P.S.: The only neutral creatures I would keep the morality for are angels and minotaurs - after all, it's their ability.
