Do I also need to download the map? If so, which folder should I put it in? Or will a save file with the difficulty setting be enough?

1. You know where to save the save file (in the Games folder).

2. The map – wherever you want. It's not crucial. After extracting the archive, you will have a file called Возрождение (турнир).h3m, which will automatically open in the map editor when you click on it. I assume you will definitely have the editor (it is usually built into the game). The map is convenient because you can view any objects on it – right-click / Properties... (Before you start studying it, if you decide to do so, you need to select any of the landscapes from the buttons on the top panel; otherwise, "Object Properties" will be unavailable...)

If you are not going to study the map, then in this case you do not need it; you can not download it at all – the save file is enough for the game.
