Yeah, the difference between Doom and Folk, in my opinion, is less than between Death and Symphonic.
Although it's still significant, yes.

The only Cradle of Filth song that really resonated with me. Although maybe I didn't listen to it properly.

I haven't been hooked yet, I only downloaded and listened to the album today. But at first glance, it's pretty good, it should be enjoyable, and Vega will definitely like it, in my opinion.

Tom Araya from Slayer even sings with a harsher growl, maybe. Not in everything, of course, but in many songs.
And that growl that some Murmansk band used to cover Slayer wasn't very thrashy or powerful. But it was beautiful. It sounded like a Death scream. It was evil and aggressive, yes. I like that kind, but for a Slayer cover, something louder and more screaming would be better. At least like Ensiferum.
