Only if it's not from my side. I don't like causing pain. I believe in justice, and the unworthy will be punished without my help.
This is true; in fact, we aren't supposed to do this ourselves. We have a state, militia police, who get paid for this, but there are some people I wouldn't mind hurting myself if I were sure that nothing bad would happen to me because of it, though I agree here—it all depends on the person. I admit that some might not want to do it themselves not out of fear for themselves, but simply because they are truly intelligent and (or) Christian people, and I consider this normal. As for myself, I'm not even sure if I would take advantage of an opportunity to get revenge with impunity, simply because although I have doubts, I assume with a high degree of probability that God does exist and therefore I am afraid to break the commandments. Therefore, even if I have the opportunity, I probably won't seek revenge on my enemies (although I will never be able or want to love them and will always hate them!!!). This is the optimal behavior for a believing person in this case, because the Lord will not leave all the bad things they did to me unpunished and will still punish them much more severely than I would, while I, by not avenging all the grievances, will act as He wants and therefore have bigger chances of salvation.NikBond
What gender are you even? Just say "no, I'm not going" and ignore everyone. If that doesn't help, explain adequately and point by point why you don't want to. That's how I am.
That's true, I also never went to any camps and believe I did the right thing. I preferred to socialize with whoever I wanted in my own yard. Although I don't regret the month and a half that I spent at the kolkhoz during my first and second years! :) Simply because the group there was quite good, even though the curators' nightly chores were annoying, as were various drunk guys from other departments coming into our barracks at night, the cold and rain in the mornings—especially in the second half of September—and other delights of kolkhoz life. :D NikBond
Yeah, it's just a stupid waste of a year of your life. Meaningless and ruthless.
I agree with this 100%.
