The first round is clearly delayed. Can we stay overnight at the club, or should we bring our laptops?
I was hoping you would arrive earlier and leave later... We'll proceed based on what we have. Let's assume that players from the Moscow region (including Yekaterinburg) arrive earlier. The same goes for players from Tambov and Krasnodar. They will be accommodated in a sanatorium or hotel (we have time to decide on the most convenient option). They arrive at the club. We conduct the draw, ensuring that representatives from the same city do not meet each other for as long as possible.
At 1 PM, you arrive. It will be difficult to accommodate so many players overnight, so we will first arrange accommodation – in an apartment, hotel, or somewhere else (we will decide later). This will take at most an hour.
At 2 PM, we meet the players from Siberia.
Therefore, we will start the 1st round only at 2:00 PM or 2:30 PM!
It's not ideal, but given the circumstances, I will try to negotiate with the club to extend the playing time until 2 AM. Later than that is pointless – people won't be able to wake up for the 2nd round.
Rounds 2-4 will be played as usual, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Round 5 will be easier. Some people will definitely go home, and some will be tired of playing by that time and will want to rest. At best, there will be 5-6 pairs left. For sure, 2-3 players from St. Petersburg will be competing for prizes by that time.
Or we can start the round earlier, perhaps in the evening of May 3rd – with postponing and finishing it in the morning.
But we will find a solution. Although three full days and two half-days for 5 rounds is tough.
P.S. Bring your laptops; it's not mandatory, but it's desirable. I don't know how things will go; we might have to finish the games at home.
