Why? I'm not planning on joining any camps or the army.
Although, I do have plans for some field RPGs. Ugh, why can't you convey realism without these terrible conditions? They say you have to live in TENTS! At least there's less of that thug-like riffraff among role-players.

And yes, serve in the army, and then say that camp is bad.

If living in a camp means wasting time and getting a bunch of bad emotions, then the army is moral suicide and physical masochism.
You become like those you associate with. The army is mainly filled with riffraff, those who couldn't find a way to avoid it. Basically, if a normal person ends up in their company, they become an idiot. I've seen it firsthand.
The army is filled with either desperate patriots or riffraff. Or candidates to become riffraff.
