I myself hate camps for the same reason, although I've never been to one.

Never been, but I condemn it. And to top it off, a timely post with a list of low-class qualities like: using a computer, not having your own room, not knowing the people but assuming they are inherently low-quality. But you certainly added fuel to the fire.

You'll say that a billion dollars is a good thing. But according to your logic, you've never had that much money, and you can't objectively reason about it.

A poor analogy, because having something in larger quantities than you had before is pretty straightforward. Accurately modeling a situation you've never been in, including the behavior of the people around you, and not having any clear information besides the vague "I heard that people eat in the dining hall, not in front of the computer," is something more complex.
