Lord of the Rings vs. Ring of Darkness

I have "The Dark Elf Trilogy" sitting on my shelf, and it's been there for a few years now. I started reading it twice, and the first time I managed to finish the first book out of the three. Overall, it's quite depressing, but it's not bad as a sort of fan fiction. He should have just left it at that and not written "THE CONTINUATION OF THE ARDA STORY."
