Which magic schools should I choose for the late game? Or should I go for a specific artifact?

I haven't heard of that one. Is the latest version considered 1.1 (cup version)? But I was right about there not being much imbalance in RTA, right? I've been playing for 2 weeks and haven't noticed anything yet, except maybe in some individual matchups. I'd like to hear the opinion of a more experienced player.
