You wouldn't believe what creative ideas players come up with for SoD. However, it doesn't always work as intended.
For example, I recently played a balanced game with a Polish player, and at the beginning, he suggested that we not use hives, cons, and external hiding spots. I naturally refused, asking him why the treasure zone was designed with hives in the first place.
I took a hive, and instead of getting two good artifacts, I received two subpar ones: a belt and a morale booster. In the con, instead of angels, I got money, ore, and wood, and every time I took a hive in the treasure zone, the game started crashing. The Polish player claimed that he hadn't changed anything. Although, I'm sure he did, perhaps by setting some configurations without even realizing it. So, friends, messing around with SoD without knowing what you're doing can lead to bugs.
