Furies have low growth and high mortality... Executioners will also defeat them in one turn... Anyway, if not with centaurs, then with executioners they will be killed:D

Regarding summoning - summoning may not be a primary skill, but yes, it can be taken, but where then to get spells from the summoning school, if they simply don't exist in the magic school (or am I mistaken?)
