Who thinks that an army is unnecessary?

Yeah, right, real men are those morally degenerate brutes they become in the army these days, even if they weren't like that before.
You wouldn't understand how it feels to waste a year of your life, needlessly ruining yourself.

They just don't truly understand what the army is.

Another social institution where soldiers are made to dig trenches from dawn till dusk, and are also taught how to wash and mend clothes, clean the territory and premises, peel potatoes, basic hand-to-hand combat, physical training, subordination, and other things that not every nerdy student is capable of doing on their own. Of course, the army, like prison, has a strict collective, and if you're constantly being dunked in the toilet or getting beaten more often than others, it's because you deserve it. High self-esteem, disregard for camaraderie, snitching, passive acceptance of humiliation, disrespect for fellow soldiers – all these things are unacceptable for a warrior and simply for a noble person who respects himself, and must be punished.

And again, the army isn't as terrible as it's portrayed by overly sentimental mothers raising girls. And when you see a video of someone urinating on a new recruit, know that it's justified.
The army of the nineties (like the prison of the nineties) was a real hell compared to the current situation.
