I think these circles represent campaigns. The turtle is for the tutorial, the faction symbols are for the corresponding campaigns, and the last one is for something else.

Maybe there will be an epilogue map.

Exactly. The first image with the turtle is like an introduction, a prologue. The last one (I still can't make out what's drawn there, maybe a crown or some other metal object) is the conclusion, the epilogue. And Necropolis, Haven, Sanctuary, Inferno, and Stronghold fit in between them.
