Heroes (Movie)

It's a decent movie. On par with a typical fantasy film. Name me the best fantasy film, but be original and don't say "The Lord of the Rings." Eragon? Garbage. The Witcher? Garbage. Heart of the Dragon? On par with "Dungeon," meaning it's a normal movie. Dungeon 2? I don't remember what it was, but it seems it wasn't bad and even better than the first one. Narnia? It's some kind of nonsense about a boy who betrayed his friends for Turkish delight. It's a fairy tale about a magical land in a wardrobe and a talking lion, not fantasy. The Ring of the Nibelungs? Again, not fantasy, it's a myth. But the film is good. Anything else? Legend, Labyrinth? Pan's Labyrinth? All fairy tales.
So, what do we have? We have that the film industry isn't excelling in the fantasy genre, so we can't point to a decent film that deserves a six and a half or seven and, being spoiled, call it extremely mediocre, pointing to the availability of a wide range of masterpieces. Therefore, when an accusation comes from a D&D fan that an objectively decent, average film with a similar name is extremely mediocre, it is classified as a D&D fanboy's butthurt, who didn't see the level of The Lord of the Rings or Avatar and got a reason to gloat when his "elite hobby" wasn't presented in as perfect a form as he would have liked.
