Creationism (from the English word "creation") is a religious and philosophical concept that views all the diversity of the organic world, humanity, the planet Earth, and the universe as a whole as intentionally created by a supreme being or deity. The theory of creationism, by referring the answer to the question of the origin of life to religion (the creation of life by God), falls outside the scope of scientific research according to Popper's criterion (since it is unfalsifiable: scientific methods cannot prove either that God did not create life or that God did create it). Furthermore, this theory does not provide a satisfactory answer to the question of the causes of the origin and existence of the supreme being itself, usually simply postulating its eternity.
