Necropolis – a triumph or a failure?

Maybe I'm wrong somewhere, but I didn't notice that Necropolis is some kind of uber race. Yes, it's strong, no doubt. But I defeated it with mages. Let's not forget that Necropolis has a weak initiative, and mages, boosted by mini-artifacts, simply move faster, plus they have a lot of archers.

Not necessarily, Lucretia or Deidre are also good. And what really annoys me is ZOLTAN!!!!!!!! My magic (I love mages :smile26:) is immediately out of the question.
