vaguely reminds me of a scenario called "An Eye for an Eye". If so, then instead of making a scripted character (like Shadia), you could make Leto, Sinithar, or any other character you like the main character (Irvan is also a good option). Then, use the hit-and-run tactics that haven't been canceled yet (but are not applicable to scripted characters) - single or double units of fast creatures, magic damage, fleeing, buying them back in the tavern, etc.
