In the first round, I take Conflux, build a company, but I don't have enough to buy a company. The computer takes the castle, and I think, "That's it." I somehow defend, and then I take Necropolis, an artifact with 10% Necromancy, and start collecting skeletons. In general, I collected 1600. Along the way, I found a second Conflux without a Fortress, a hidden company, and a hidden pack of Psionic creatures.
So, by the end of the game, I had 48 packs.
