Queen – “The Trap” [Campaign 1, Mission 4]

I had a glitch on the disc, so I borrowed another disc from a friend and completed The Trap. Now I'm stuck on the 3rd campaign, 4th mission: Assassination of the Ruler. In the final battle, Markel has a very small army, and I can't defeat Cyrus. Can anyone give me some advice on how to do this?
