As for the chasm, it might be an entrance to the dungeon. Or something else. I'm much more interested in the purpose of the levitating purple stone near the fort. It has something of a dark elf vibe.
The entrance to the dungeon (if it is one) evokes associations with black dragons, which, as is known, live there. In addition, the eyes are purple, the native color of dark elves. This also applies to the levitating thing; the only thing that confuses me is that dark elves won't be in the sixth installment.
