There was no path to one secondary resource. The guards were there, but the path was missing.
I went into demonology and gathered 200+ goats.
Cleared one small village (Dragon Utopia with 2 magic caps (+4+4 and -2+10), +1000 and +1 crystal). There is no magic above level 2, neither transport nor combat. I only found a Dimension Door scroll, but there were no resources left to gather.

I arrived at the opponent's place on day 145. For some reason, I was more concerned with where to catch him if he went into a treasure zone. Therefore, I didn same think about the fact that he would attack me. As a result, I left 20 fanatics and 4 hydras with the scouts, and took 48 will-o-the-wisps for upgrade (exactly on the day I took the opponent's starting Castle).
That is why I was beaten. When the opponent has +4 speed and a red orb, you can't maneuver much in battle.
