10K in a stack is already pretty good.
What are the other ones, that's really interesting :D

I can't say for sure what the limit is; my heroes didn't calculate such a large battle and crashed :D. But 5-7 stacks of 8th-level lions (7th level, upgraded twice) with 500+ units each :o
