It’s not about “calling a boat and taking a sword,” but about finding that sword, because everything looks extremely illogical: it’s not immediately clear that you can navigate on a map that doesn’t seem to allow for navigation (at least have a shipyard near the lake). But okay, I figured it out. But discovering a passage where it’s not visible is beyond good and evil. There’s an obvious goal for our voyage – the Fort on the hill and the Portal. So, for me, it was easier to just go straight through :D
P.S. By the way, it’s interesting why the witches, under the effect of “Confusion,” sometimes didn’t attack but bypassed my phoenixes; this remained a mystery to me, although I was glad about it. Also, they constantly cast “Slow,” which was easily countered by a general “Haste” spell
