My best result was capturing Shahdab on day 14. On day 17, Gotai returned to the capital (starting city), but Alaric didn't attack, so on day 18, I attacked him myself and killed him. I can upload a save file from the beginning of day 8 – the Tear has already been excavated, and the Khan's Tower has been built in the capital – if anyone wants to improve (or at least repeat) my results.
