Is it worth changing the Punishment System on the forums to one that results in a permanent ban?

There should be a system, and it should work regardless of anyone's wishes. I agree that it's silly to award points for font choices; it's enough to say that using certain fonts is not allowed, and if someone doesn't listen, then points should be deducted for violating the rules. A ban should be considered as a measure to protect others from someone's misdeeds. If the majority wants to exclude someone from participating in the portal's activities, it means that this person has caused enough trouble and done enough bad things, and therefore should be punished. The duration of the punishment should have a beginning and an end, as an incentive to re-evaluate actions, and the time should not be short. It should be understood that not everyone will be banned, but only the most malicious and unruly users. 3 months is the minimum, and then the duration should increase. I doubt that a kind-hearted person will ever be banned.
