On Friday, January 28, a meeting took place between the Governor of the Perm Region, Oleg Chirkunov, and representatives of the Republic of Armenia. In particular, the meeting was attended by Stepan Petrosyan, Deputy Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, and Robert Ananyan, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Russia. The parties discussed issues of cooperation between the Perm Region and Armenia in the field of culture, youth policy, and other areas. Stepan Petrosyan spoke about the youth programs being implemented in the republic. He also asked Chirkunov to assist in the participation of Armenian youth from the Perm Region in these programs. "The Perm Region is a strong region," Stepan Petrosyan also noted. "We are interested in cooperating with it. It is important that the regional authorities in the Perm Region are doing everything to ensure that different peoples live in peace and harmony." Oleg Chirkunov proposed strengthening interaction between the Perm Region and Armenia in the field of tourism. It should be noted that the visit of the delegation is timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the Center for Armenian Culture of the Perm Region, which is being celebrated these days.
