There are no false leads. The killer may plant additional evidence pointing to themselves, but it must be genuine. That is, it cannot be the case that, for example, Hostor commits the murder, but the evidence points to "Treasure Island," which is not in his profile.
Of course, the killer tries to plant ambiguous evidence, but ultimately it still points to them.
I consider additional evidence to be a false lead. The idea is that it is used to try to frame someone. It is clear that it should also point to the killer. But why would the killer provide such obvious evidence pointing to themselves? If there was a compass before, which was related to the movie, what is the point of providing a false lead that points to one of the three movies? Unless it is an attempt to divert suspicion from themselves with a clearly incriminating piece of evidence; I don't see any other reason, but it is still quite risky. Although, again, it is not a fact that this evidence is a false lead.
