It seems you haven't quite grasped the point. Yes, you can create a puppet-like person who only thinks about your greatness and constantly praises you. However, God initially created people as perfect beings (man as the crown of creation) and gave them the right to choose, so they could decide which path to follow. God granted people FREEDOM.
You are right, no one has seen God. We only know that we were created in his image and likeness. Tell me, have you ever seen the wind? What does it look like?
