Probably, by the time of the "fifth" installment, they had moved from the islands and modernized somewhat. That is, there were Papuans on the islands, and then they turned into nomadic Mongols. Although, in the "One Khan, One Clan" mission, the Orcish Clans live on different islands.
Not at all. After their exile, the Orcs scattered to Paao, Ranaan, and the deserts. Time is not a factor here. Three large tribes – three Factions. In the seventh installment, there will be Bedouins. That's why, if requested, they could add a steppe faction in an add-on.

If I ask alone, it will be like spitting into the sea, like throwing peas at a wall. But if the whole forum asks, the result will definitely be achieved. We may not have Lyabul, but we can write directly to the developers! Right? If this is needed by someone other than me, of course...XEL
Personally, I'm looking forward to Heroes 6 to see how they connect Ashan with the old universe. Marzin promised that there would be a connection; I don't see any reason not to believe him.
Why connect Ashan, a completely new, ideologically fantasy world, with some kind of underdeveloped science fiction from the world of Heroes III?
One Orc doesn't look like another. It's a large, black, iron thing.
I agree! But in the fifth installment... the Orcs are true, free, strong, and independent.
