Simply put, the "Tribes of the East" version differs only in that it includes the campaigns from the original game and "Tribes of the East". And, as a rule, it comes in version 3.1.

There is a utility in the game folder - bin-UpgradeLauncher.exe
Also, 3.1 installs normally on the Gold edition. (I also have the Gold edition)
You just need to distinguish between the 1C and Booka versions - different patches are used for them.
