Moreover, I once came across some information that wasn't entirely reliable, but was extremely interesting: apparently, hobbits weren't actually invented by Tolkien. And I don't see anything wrong with creatively reinterpreting mythological creatures and/or discovering new ones from the deepest recesses of mythology. That's why I'm starting to like orcs, and as for nagas, I'm almost in love with this race – it's finally a fresh take in the series. What that take is, you decide.
