"Fight Club" is definitely one of my favorite movies, and I've also read the book – both the film and the book are great. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to exploring the rest of Chuck Palahniuk's work. I think his style is very similar to Kurt Vonnegut (he probably drew inspiration from him): both have a kind of hyperrealism that harmoniously coexists with complete absurdity – very few world-renowned authors have managed to achieve this. Has anyone come across any good film adaptations of Vonnegut's works, not just mediocre ones? Please share links if you have any. As strange as it may seem, I watched "Saw" (the first film, I mean) for the first time the other day. Before that, I had only seen the sixth installment. Wow, I had no idea such amazing films existed. I thought "Saw" was just another cheesy horror movie with a bunch of sequels, but it turns out it's a film that makes you think. It would definitely be in my personal "top" list if I kept one...
